Piccolo in Super

How do you think he was dealt with? Most talk about Goku and Vegeta, what would be your opinions on Piccolo?

He feels like a fake version of Piccolo. I admit that some of the scenes where he spends time with Pan or whatever can be enjoyable to see some development, but beyond that I'm not a fan. He feels dumbed down in every aspect and is now used to convey stupid shit to the reader, as opposed to being seen as a mature voice of reason in the original manga.
