Let's not also forget that Kuririn implying SSB Goku > Ultimate Gohan in the ToP when all feats and statements point to Chadhan >>> Galu reinforcing this mindset.GreatSaiyaman123 said:Yeah, it's written rather weird. Their shock for Goku throwing the towel is only natural, but saying only he stood a chance sounds odd. Specially when this would imply Goku > Vegeta...
I'm going to chalk it up to how they always see Goku as the be all end all. Quoting a producer of the show:
Yamauchi: In the special (“Defiance in the Face of Despair!! The Remaining Super-Warriors: Gohan and Trunks”), there are lines where Bulma is describing Goku. She tells Trunks that he may not be outrageously strong, but he’s a person who gives you the sense that he’d do something about the situation for you, one way or another. If Goku were stupendously strong, the story wouldn’t go anywhere. As soon as Goku came out, it would be over. That’s why, in all of the stories, it first makes you wonder whether it will really be OK even if Goku shows up, then he does something about it.
No matter how strong Goku is, they always look up to him as the answer. Even when he's not as strong as you'd think.

Nah. This is just a friendly sparring session.Pyro said:The Cell Junyah smashes these fools if it's serious.
