But the in-universe characters aren't thinking "oh he has to be double my pl to tank this". They just know "woah he's strong, my best attack didn't even put a scratch on him". All that means is Chaozu's Self Destruct >> Scatter Shot.

Huh? Everyone knows that taking no damage means you are vastly superior. That’s easily understood. They know how various gaps tend to do against one another

Yeah they understand to a high degree of accuracy of how powerful you need to be to pull off such a stunt.

I don’t think you realize how accurately these fighters can portray the events. They can literally feel the person ki.

They can feel ki but the plot requires the gaps to not be too big so you are forced to by the author's very intent to keep everything from Chaozus self destruct to Ten's Kikoho below Gohan's masenkos 2800. Obviously they aren't thinking these are 2x gaps in that case.

The author has no idea what he’s doing in regards to such things. We have the opportunity to showcase it properly and succeed where he failed.

If you want to be completely consistent with the tank gap, sure it can be 2x but you will also need to ignore every single scouter number in the series and rewrite them and I feel weird doing that.

I get that. I definitely do. But I think I'm prepared to go that route. But it's tough because those Saiyan Saga levels are pretty much set in stone. I can get away with BoZ, but everything after that is rock solid and isn't all that bad either. It's just not perfect.

Going to be hard to mess with that. Plus, even Reecome vs Vegeta feels a bit off as well. There's a million little tweaks to be made lol
