Dragon Ball Evolution is cancer. It even spawned other cancers like Battle Of Gods, which even though BOG isn't a bad movie at all, it still inspired Fukkatsu No Freeza afterwards, which was the worst creation in the franchise up until Dragon Ball Super, which makes Dragon Ball GT look like a godsend.

In short, I love Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z as an Anime and a Manga, but I actually dislike it as a franchise, even though I don't even consider Evolution to be part of the franchise.

It has nothing to do with Battle of Gods, if you live in reality and not fairy land. There have always been animated DBZ movies, even before Evolution. Just because Toriyama mentioned that Battle of Gods was better than Evolution, doesn't mean Evolution inspired those movies.

But "re-wrote a movie script", means what? Re-wrote a script for BoG? For DB Evolution? Wasn't BoG already in production by then? It would still be strange to blame Evolution for everything post-Evolution, even if Evolution caused BoG to happen. 21st Tenkaichi Budokai is cancer, because its success led to DBZ, which led to the worst of the Buu Saga? Or the popularity of tournaments led to the U7-U6 tournament and ToP? If anything, if Evolution disappointing AT pulled him to be more involved with production and you think BoG was better than FnF and Super, you should be thankful to Evolution.

Why is wolf getting all emotional for? AT did come-back because DB-Evolution was bad. At-least one of the reasons.

Yeh AT definitely hated how little his input made it into Evolution and how much it butchered the actual storyline with the false promises and the blatantly cashgrab driven motives of the production staff. He openly said it led to him having greater involvement in BoG and onwards, he even progressively got more involved from FnF up to the current movie.

Pretty fucked up James was fooled into thinking Stephen Chow was directing it, man that movie woulda had some real promise.
