You really can't make that argument. There is no powerup stated. Boo's smoke is not showing us a power up, it's just him expelling the evil form. I've read that thread, it is trash.

It's trash because what you just said did not happen. Why would he gain power in the act of losing power? It is stated directly after that his power was taken away by Pure Evil Boo.

It's trash because what you just said did not happen. Why would he gain power in the act of losing power? It is stated directly after that his power was taken away by Pure Evil Boo.

He could have lost power regarding his powered up version he just showed when expelling Grey Boo.

Fat Boo did not power up when he was expelling Pure Evil Boo. It's not stated, so don't make the assumption.

Pure Boo would probably 1-shot if it wasn't for Pure Evil Boo's regeneration (Not that it would matter tho)

Forget being stated. It was shown to be so. Fat Boo shot smoke out of his head to raise his power against both Dabra and Vegeta.

Except that is contradicted by on-page evidence, when Mr. Buu shows himself to be blatantly superior to pre-split Fat Buu. Not to mention common sense (why would THIS time he got angry and blew smoke magically be the only time his power didn't increase?). The following chain is what is actually shown and/or stated:

Fat Buu [Splitting] > Pure Evil Buu > Pure Buu > Mr. Buu > Fat Buu [Power Up 2] > Fat Buu [Power Up 1] > SS2 Vegeta

Incorrect. I've outlined this before, and this excuse doesn't work. It's the same story with Janemba. Pure Buu knew fully well how strong Mr. Buu was, as demonstrated by his fear of that blast, and his ability to sense ki. Mr. Buu, at several points, was able to surprise him, damage him, hurt him, stun him, anger him, and make him alert and/or cautious. This would not have happened if he wasn't decently close. What would have happened is a repeat of Pure Buu's fight with Vegeta.

"There was a plot hole here, therefore my theories don't have to follow any sort of logic" is not an excuse. Not to mention that these aren't even similar circumstances. Toriyama went out of his way to show us that Vegeta and Goku don't know jack, by having the former not know about Super Buu's power, and the latter not know about the whole split in the first place. They have exactly zero credibility on whether or not they can handle PEB (even though they again never say that).

This is even worse than trying to argue base Namek Vegeta > base Namek Goku. This is like claiming that SS2 Vegeta was stronger than SS3 Goku, and then when presented with evidence to the contrary, just screaming "WELL HOW DID THEY MAKE A WISH BACK IN RED RIBBON ARMY ARC ONLY EIGHT MONTHS AFTER THE LAST, HMMM?". Do you not see how much of a violation of basic logic this argument is? And for what? So you can deny what Toriyama actually drew?

Pure Boo is able to counter Pure Evil Boo with his legs only, sign of a massive gap. This is very early in the fight when Good Boo wasn't running out of stamina. It's clear that Pure Boo is playing around in the battle. He even arrogantly waves his finger at Good Boo, as if to say "you are trash nigga". Did Good Boo perform better than SSJ2 Vegeta? Yes. Is this to be expected? Yeah, he's fucking stronger than Vegeta. Wow! Who would have thought that someone stronger than SSJ2 Vegeta would perform better than Vegeta? What insane logic!
