Worth a watch?

Not really. Season 1 is pretty boring due to being a death tournament in which the fighters find very convoluted and dumb ways to not kill each other, while season 2 removes the ambiguity of who you should root for by plastering Kiritsugu as the mc and has a pretty pretentious ending.

There's honestly not much here that isn't done better in other anime. For anime with a mythological flavour, you're better off with Saint Seiya since despite having some poor Shonen tropes, they're less of a contrivance than with most due to the setting and the characters are at least more than bland mouthpieces for basic philosophy. For one combining strategy and superpowers, you're better off rewatching HxH or JoJo, or watching Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. For one with a female character attempting to go against her gender roles like Saber, you're far better off continuing Rose of Versailles. For a series that truly explores philosophies of human nature, Monster and Legend of the Galactic Heroes are infinitely better choices.

Fate/Zero tries to excuse it by making her a shitty version of Lady Oscar, though it is just waifu bait at the end of the day when considering the Fate stay-night visual novels have her pretty much becoming the protagonist's cum dumpster.

It's not as if she's the only one since if they can find an opportunity to genderbend a figure of history or mythology, Type Moon will do it. For instance, one of the series even has genderbent Nero.
