They try to excuse it by saying she has the ability to easily master any sort of mount, because driving a car is sooo similar to riding a horse.

Watched several episodes yesterday. The defeat of Caster was handled terribly. Saber's noble phantasm was such an asspull.
Saber going to challenge Lancer to battle after his defeat seemed stupid too. Kiritsugu getting involved and forcing Lancer to commit suicide was unexpected, but felt very unrewarding for the amount that Saber/Lancer's knightly battle had been hyped up. All that hype was a waste of time.
And I was correct in that the church overseer was Kirei's father. Gilgamesh asked Kirei if he was disappointed that he wasnt able to kill his own father. The only storyline I'm interested in atm is Kirei now acting on his own free will and teaming with Gilgamesh. Hopefully they provide some entertainment.
I'm not going to hate on the anime too much yet. I'm enjoying watching it but I do think it has some flaws. I'd place S1 as a 5.5/10.

not to be a buzzkill but this is pretty much the only legitimately interesting thing in the series in my opinion -- only real instance of anyone going through any semblance of a character arc.
well, i suppose kiritsugu kinda gets one, but it's kinda bad imo.

She's basically what happens when you take the premise of "Woman fighting against her gender role" as in Lady Oscar or Casca and strip it down to it's most simplistic form with no other defining character traits for her, other than being a hypocritical ruler.Pocket-Gog~ said:
