Ignoring the scouters for a while, the gaps are massive AF. A heavily worned out and injured Piccolo was too much for the humans 5 years ago, 10x gap between Piccolo and Kuririn may be too small. And you notice how non sense thing are when Kami blocks a not so wounded Piccolo's punch and Goku denies Ten's help due to pride, not Tien being fodder. But that's another issue.
How you think the gaps should be by the Vegeta Arc? Do the gap between Goku and the humans get smaller? Is there any change on K2 Goku and Vegeta's gap?

Yes and when you compare Worn Out Piccolo at the 23rd Budokai and Worn Out Gohan at the Cell Game, it's clear who is injured more. There is indeed a massive, massive gap between Piccolo and the humans and even Kami.

Piccolo is a lot closer to the humans in the Vegeta Saga, but Goku's power is still massive superior, as it has been for a long time.

I'm thinking about doing a list ignoring all the scouter for all the Dragon Ball series to make the levels fully coerent. By the Ginyu Saga the gaps are ok, but before it's all so tiny. Vegeta's gap on Zarbon and Dodoria is a true headache.
I may release this list this weekend, but the power inflation is gonna be huge.

I know, but, if you want to make a scouter list, it's good evidence to use in retcon. Zombies.

Ignoring the scouters is the logical approach if you want to make the statements work. You've been ignoring the statements for a long time, why not try ignoring the scouters for a change? I mention this and even here, the people who are most power levels obsessed act like this is some huge deal. It's crazy. Everyone should at least try a no scouter list, why not make a list that fits the statements opposed to one that doesn't?

What's the retcon? That the humans are somehow magically relevant and Kami isn't a turd compared to Goku and Piccolo?
