Because Super is all hollow fanservice and there are even less fans of them than there of the humans. AT made it clear that Goten and Trunks are still >> Kuririn in the Super Hero arc so their irrelevance isn't due to a lack of power or potential.

Still better than the asspulls they did with him in the anime. He has learns every Vegeta technique (Galick Gun, Final Flash, BBA) offscreen, he can somewhat fight Rose Black in regular SSJ2, he gets an unexplained barely reacted to form that makes him Buff and gives him blue aura that makes him equal to Rose Black, he just "learns" Genkidama for no reason and makes one powerful enough to kill someone equal to Blue Vegetto from energy from beaten up Base Saiyans and like 20 humans?

Lol. Toei sucked this man's dick good.

It ain’t called “Future Trunks Saga” for nothing, lol. Don’t forget he learned the Mafuba too…

I always thought he learned Vegeta’s techniques back in the Cell Saga though. Trunks doesn’t have many techniques of his own.

In the manga Vegeta used Trunks' Heat Dome Attack too. Them exchanging techniques isn't exactly an asspull.
