One Piece seems to be big on this forum, and I currently own the first six volumes, so I thought I'd try getting back into it for more discussions. About how long would it take me to get up to recent chapters if I started now?

I think like a month if you were very diligent on reading a good amount every day.

1-2 months. It took me a little while to get fully into it, but once I did I got trough it extremely quickly.

Not sure. The online manga I read though looks just like Viz.

I reread One Piece in Kissmanga. There is excellent quality, not to mention it has colorful.

I'm only through part 1, but it didn't take me long to finish the last 2 or 3 arcs in it once I got fired up. I'm not the most fiercely devoted manga readers either, so once OP catches your interest you will breeze through the chapters with ease. The only exceptions being arcs like Skypiea because they're overlong and slow paced.

Yeah, Skypiea and Dressrosa are pretty damn long imo.

I actually mostly skipped Luffy's fight with Enel in it. Felt pointless to read a battle where the main character was bound to win and the fight still dragged for 2 volumes.

I skipped most of Skypea along with most of enel vs luffy. Way too much fight formula.

It doesn't take as long as you think. My brother watched the anime (as opposed to the Manga) a few months ago and he's almost finished with Part I... That should tell you something.

I feel like reading it again. Without much skipping and paying more attention to things related to foreshadowing.
Ie Dragon saving Luffy, and what his fruit should really be. Also Baroque works, Raftel, and a bunch of other stuff. Even Sanji's origins.

I would recommend the mango for time purposes only, but have fun regardless.
