I don't think anything indicates he wasn't guarding. He was trying his best to stand in one place he just wasn't fighting back.

He was taking sanji's haki hits full on without using haki. That's a pretty close to not guarding as it gets in one piece.

idk about nullifying but Luffy has used armament Haki while smiling and laughing. So not sure if he wasn't using Haki either.

He did facegaurd during his battle with Cracker when he was being attacked by swords, although that's probably more related to piercing attacks being his weakness. Luffy is basically the opposite of Buggy who can take piercing attacks with no damage; he can take blunt attacks with no damage but will be outdone by piercing attacks.

As for Zoro vs Luffy, Luffy would win but Zoro would have an advantage because swords are one of Luffy's weaknesses. Sanji vs Luffy would put Luffy at an advantage because taking blunt attacks is his strength.

As for Zoro being able to kill Luffy there - maybe. I imagine Luffy would be forced to face guard and pump his arms black like he did for Cracker if he wanted to not take lethal damage. Then again you have to consider that Sanji himself wasn't trying to inflict lethal damage and Zoro in the same place wouldn't be either. Cracker (Haki) > Zoro (Haki) [imo] to the point where I'd say he wouldn't have to guard as hard as he did against Cracker if he wanted to tank a barrage of attacks.

Luffy doesn't have a weakness against swords, he just has a resistance to blunt damage.

Any named move would have killed Luffy in the same situation

Luffy has a weakness to piercing attacks, it's intentionally setup so he's the opposite of Buggy. Some of the most serious damage he's gotten in the series has been from stab attacks. Off the top of my head - being bitten by Arlong, Crocodile's hook, Doflamingo's stab.

If Luffy was guarding like he does against Cracker for piercing attacks then he'd fare better than he did against Cracker. Barring things like Asura.

It's never stated. Those scenarios can be explained by Luffy having blunt damage resistance which is why it seems his weakness is cutting attacks
