The fact that this chapter was mostly Vegeta vs Granolah means that it doesn't trip over itself story-wise as much as some other chapters. Vegeta was presented fairly well here, better than he has throughout most of Super, given that his overconfidence had purpose in measuring up an unknown opponent and still being able to hold his own despite the power difference. We also get a bit of development with Vegeta focusing more on the journey as a developing warrior instead of being insecure about constantly falling behind Galu.

Overall, hard to criticize the fight itself, which was fun. Remains to be seen how it will play out next, as Vegeta getting clowned will pour cold water over any momentum and hype this chapter has produced so far. I'll ignore the transformation at the end and save any real judgement for next time.

6/10 Chapter overall, which is a gold star for Super standards.

Less Galu is definitely better in Super. Even the couple of times he appeared this chapter were filled with retardation. Vegeta still feels far out of character to me but as said above, this was a good chapter by Super's standards.

I don't really give a shit about Granola at all tho. He has no complexity, no personality.. just a guy who wants to take revenge on people who had nothing to do with his grudge. Very shallow character so far, but no more so than any other characters in Super.

Leaving aside how ridiculous Hakaishin Vegeta looks, the chapter was fairly decent in several areas such as Granolah not being able to control his newfound power properly being a factor in Vegeta's performance and things such as Vegeta talking about the strongest never being permanent or him enjoying having nothing to restrain him being good character moments more in line with how his post-Boo Arc self should be than he's been throughout most of Super. It still has its share of Super stupidity such as Vegeta making it apparent the "Saiyans get stronger each time they fight" has become as hyperbolic as in the Super anime or Goku's statement implying Vegeta wasn't using God Ki prior to Hakaishin mode, but the problems are fairly minor compared to most chapters. Whether you take it as a compliment or an insult, this is probably Super's gold standard.

Early sketches coming out of Vegeta giving Granolah a raw-dogging. While my hopes and standards for the series are not very high, I'd like to see a little good will towards fans and let Vegeta have this moment. Even if it means Granola retreats and comes back in another chapter or two, a solid win without a last minute cucking would go a long way.

Rough translation: "Don't compare it to that boring technique. If Kakarot is 'Ultra' then I'm 'Mega.' You can call this 'Mega Instinct'."

Dear God, please let Mega Instinct be just Vegeta shit-talking and not the actual name. Though I am enjoying this ass-whooping so far.

I seen another translation that called it Conquerors Instinct. Not sure how reliable it is.

They have to drag out this arc, probably just as long if not longer than the Moro arc. There was no way Vegeta was getting that W lol. If anything Vegeta exposed the fact that he'd lose when he said Granolah hasn't mastered his new power. All that means is that the writers had to asspull a way for Granolah to do just that.
