Thoughts on Revenge of the Sith?
The most entertaining Star Wars movie purely by the virtue of it being the perfect unintentional comedy with it's hilariously bad dialogue (pretty much anything Anakin said) and bad tonal shifts (trying to be a lighthearted comedy at first during the Invisible Hand segment, only for that to clash with the dark aspects of Anakin killing Dooku in the same section). Speaking of Anakin and tonal shifts, his rushed development makes his arc within the film it's main flaw due to it making Anakin seem idiotic and mentally deranged. He chooses to be swayed by Palpatine purely by him alluding to knowing the secret to cheating death, yet is still fine with serving him even after Palpatine makes it clear he currently doesn't know such an ability to Anakin, with this followed by Anakin going from preaching about the Jedi Way and ideals to slaughtering children in the span of 5 minutes. There's plenty of other flaws I could mention, such as Dooku and Grievous being jobbers, Palpatine making it clear Grievous' death would end the Clone Wars and leaking his whereabouts to Anakin when accelerating the end of the war would put his attempt at gaining "UNLIMITED POWER" in jeopardy, Windu being an idiot by confronting Palpatine in his secluded office rather than in public, Obi-Wan and Yoda not having Padme show the temple's security footage to the Senate, etc. However, Anakin's rushed arc is easily the dumbest thing about the movie and the prequels as a whole.
This is more disappointing when RotS had far more potential than the other two prequels, which overall could be cut by 90% and still retain as much continuity with the OT as necessary. The fall of a tragic hero into an imposing villain like Darth Vader, coupled with Palpatine's political manoeuvring and rise to power (the latter one of the few things this movie and the prequels did somewhat well) could've made for a masterpiece in the right hands. In George Lucas' hands, however, it made for laughable schlock.
Well, at least it's still better than what the sequel trilogy currently contains.
2.5/10

A great melody, though I believe it's overrating it a fair bit to call it the true greatest piece of music of all time as many do.
