AT seemed to say the calmer living conditions. You don't have to go out killing other civilisations for Freeza and such, but probably more likely that he meant the gravity. It's much easier to live on earth.

But this Yamoshi thing seems to match with the story Shenlong told when Goku asked him information about the SSJG in BoG. He said there was a Saiyajin with pure heart or something that fought against the bad Saiyajins or some thing like this.

Well you could say he is adding up to that story, revealing more informations about that being who turned into a SSJG. In this interview Toriyama stated Yamoshi also had became a ssj, so it seems he just got the forms confused.
