What's wrong with the idea that Super Saiyan Gokan (Metamoran) can defeat Buutenks?

What's wrong with the idea that the rivals boost closes the gap between Vegeta and Goku? Like the Majin boost did?

Perhaps Metamoran Gokan = Metamoran Gogeta?

The stronger fighter's extra power not being accounted for in the fusion, while Potara fusion, the weaker fighter's power isn't accounted for.

I think making Gogeta the second strongest fighter in the universe, tied with Gokan, and only inferior to Vegetto due to the gap between Goku and Vegeta, I think that makes sense.

I'm fairly sure Gogeta is weaker than Vegetto anyway.

Sure, I have Vegetto a full 5x superior over Gogeta.

But Vegetto can be so much stronger than Buuhan that Gogeta can be fit in there as well.

Goku was pretty adamant about the boys fusing in their highest forms to maximize the fusion. It seems like a reasonable assumption to believe that would also apply to himself in any of his own calculations.

That’s only because Goku didn’t know fusions could transform. The only difference fusing as SSJs made was that the fusion also came out transformed.
