Back on topic, let's use some numbers:

Vegeta (Cell Games) - 45
Goku (Cell Games) - 75
Teen Gohan - 80
Vegeta (pre Majin) - 90
Gohan (Cell Games) - 100

Vegeta's increase = 2x = 7 years

7 years --------- 2
5 years --------- x

7x = 10
x ~ 1.42

Then Vegeta's power (after 5 years) ~ 65 ------- Gohan wins without too much problems.

Using da same logic, Vegeta's power after 6 years would be pretty much equal to teen Gohan's, then I'd give it to the prince, due to skills, experience, being in better shape and so on.
