How about watching the anime for the Chimera ants? It's pretty much the same thing, that is, very faithful to the manga. but the art is far better. It's also far more enjoyable, I'd say.

You can chalk it up to Togashi's plenty of time

I still find it way better than one piece's battle, where the characters also talk through the entire damn fight about non fight related things.
