SSjin 3 Vegeta (Androids Arc) vs Semi Perfect Cell

I'd say even Initial 2nd form Cell would be well beyond 8x stronger than pre-Rosat Vegeta, so Cell stomps.

I think Goku would have been focusing moreso on surpassing Super Saiyan at that point, not to mention having to make Gohan a Super Saiyan on top of that. Also, although there's no exact timeframe mentioned, considering Vegeta unlocked Grade 2 two months into his training, I think 2 months is a reasonable amount of time for that scene. Taking all that into consideration, it's possible that Goku hadn't made too much progress in increasing his overall power at that point in time.

That's if you take the SSjin 2 being 2x SSjin seriously. SSjin 2 is clearly not just 2x SSjin 2

Based on? There is no conflicting evidence as far as I see, whereas multiple sources backing it up.

"It doesn't fit muh gaps" isn't evidence either, if you're going to bring that up, since it relies purely on fan interpretations of a system Toriyama had abandoned, making bringing up numerical gaps for post-Freeza Arc material little different from doing so for Part 1 material.

Based on the manga. Injured SSjin 2 Gohan is less than half of his power so unless you think he was not even as strong as his SSjin self when he clashed with SPC, it makes no sense. Also, the gap between SSjin 2 and SSjin is clearly huge.

SPC rivals SSjin 2 Kid Gohan who was stronger than Buff Perfect Cell who was a lot stronger than FP Perfect Cell who was massively stronger than SSjin Gohan. a 2x gap doesn't fit.

And if you wanna say it does then there is no reason to have Semi Cell even 8x stronger than Androids Arc SSjin Vegeta as the gaps are pretty lower based on a SSjin 2 being just 2x SSjin

Except it's made pretty apparent Gohan's estimations of himself were off. Goku was convinced that Gohan could still take down Cell despite Gohan's insistence he couldn't and we see him lacking the trademark lightning during his "less than half" statement before it returns after Goku gave him a pep talk. Moreover, Ki is determined by genki (life energy), yuuki (courage) and shouki (right-mindedness), and Gohan was certainly lacking in the latter two prior to Goku inspiring him.

Ditto. It’s unlikely Goku’d done any considerable improvement on his own when he was mostly focused on training Gohan and meditating on surpassing Super Saiyan.

In my honest opinion, Vegeta should be able to defeat Perfect Cell full power.
