It would depend on how much Kaido has powered up over the 20 years. I think it was pretty minimal so Oden could be slightly ahead of Kaido in power alone. He doesn't seem to have Advanced Haoshoku so it would be a far more difficult battle if they were to fight now. Kaido would probably win.

Well, it all boils down to whether Kaido has powered up considerably in those 20 years. I think there should be a statement from Kaido saying that Oden couldn't hope to defeat his current self, but instead he seems to hold Oden in pretty high regard. But I think it's possible that Kaido made huge gains with how it was said Moria could fight well against Kaido in the past, possibly showing Kaido can make great gains with time. I don't really know.
