So for a minimalistic approach...

SSJ2 = x3
SSJ3 = x5

Golden Oozaru/SSJ4 = x7

For a minimalist list.

I don't know enough about Super to give an opinion.

Perhaps the SSJ boost is brought down to x10 when they reach MSSJ/FPSSJ.

Golden Oozaru should be over 10x when considering Super Baby 2 was already in a SSJ form and then went Oozaru on top of that and was about equal to SSJ4 Goku. Even minimally.

You really should just read Super if you're too lazy to sit through the anime. Members of this site all have discussions about it daily.

Numbers wise, Super Saiyan 3 as a 5x boost has always worked well for me.

Goku 500
Buu 400
Evil Buu 250
Good Buu 150
Vegeta 100

I think Good Buu should be head and shoulders above Vegeta.

10x is too small of a boost to account for the Cell Saga.

Super Saiyan Goku at the CG being less than 10x stronger than Android 18 is absurd.

Super Vegeta should be around 10x 18 alone.

X2 and X4 for SSJ2/SSJ3 has been the holy grail for DBZ for as long as I can remember, hopefully that didn't change in DBS' narrative.

I felt that X2 is a bit too low for SSJ2 but X4 works fine for SSJ3. It's enough to overcome the gap between SSJ3 Goku > Kid Buu > Fat Buu > Evil Buu > Good Buu > SSJ2 Goku/Majin Vegeta

Kid Buu is stronger than SSJ3 Goku.

Is he? I remember the popular idea being that SSJ3 Goku could have won against Kid Buu without the stamina drain. The manga fight never had Kid Buu at an advantage either IIRC.
Chapter: 516 (DBZ 322), P11.2-3
Context: after Polunga restores Goku’s stamina and he’s about to finish Boo off with the Genki-Dama
Goku: “…You’re amazin’. You hung in there really well all on your own…This time, be reborn as a good guy…I wanna fight you one-on-one…I’ll be waitin'…And I’ll have gotten much, much better…See ya later!”

Even then, Goku and Vegeta's statements are pretty much overrated and given more merit than it actually holds. Specially considering that not even Gohan's genki was powerful enough to kill Kid Buu.

Ehh, that doesn't imply much other than Goku planning on getting stronger to fight Buu's reincarnation.

So, why would Goku want to get stronger if he already had the power to defeat him?

The Kamehameha that destroyed Kid Buu's body is nowhere near as powerful as the Genkidama that while weakened repeled Kid Buu's Kamehameha.

Stamina drain? SSJ3 isn't exactly the most effective form to use even with a power advantage. And it's not like the gap between the two was such that where Goku could stomp Buu.

Hmmm no, strength is what is clearly stated on the line, Goku's motivation to get stronger is due to Kid Buu.

Regardless, SSJ3 has drain or not, it wouldn't be powerful enough to kill him, as not even Gohan's genki given to its very limits could do the job.

It's not a matter of if Goku could off Buu as much as it's him having the upper hand in the fight. And he did based on the fight before Vegeta had to step in.

I wouldn't use genkai as any sort of argument given Gohan could have wrecked Buu there and then.

Goku never had the upper hand on the fight, Kid Buu was mocking him and treated him as a joke. Is on you to prove that Kid Buu was using his full effort, because he could also retain the Genkidama with his bare hands, but before of that, his Kamehameha was erradicated by it.

Is that why Vegeta considered that a Kid Buu rebirthing would mean the end of the world? The same Vegeta that has already learned that the whole reason Buu got that strong is due to absorbing Gohan, as Goten, Trunks and Piccolo can hardly make any difference?

It was stated that Vegeta's Ki wasn't restored fully by Porunga. Stands to reason Gohan's wasn't either, since he was also only just restored to life.

Even if they resurrect being weaker, they wouldn't resurrect being quite weak... It doesn't make sense considering that Piccolo never felt any weaker when he resurrected on Namek, as well as the Dragon Balls were upgraded after Freeza's incident.

Vegeta wouldn't resurrect with all of his ki because he received a beatdown from Kid Buu not so much before... But if we're talking about the anime, Gohan himself was trying to convince people to lend energy to the Genkidama, he recognizes that Kid Buu and the Genkidama have incredible powers, and when Vegeta wanted people to donate even more ki, it was explicitely said that they would die if they give even more energy.

Piccolo's power was at best in the hundreds of thousands. These guys have long since surpassed the millions if not billions in base. Not the same. Plus, Piccolo was the only person restored to life through Porunga at the time while Porunga revived billions of other people here.

And Gohan suffocated when he died and got caught in a planetary explosion while unconscious lol. Restoring Gohan to life would be even more taxing for Porunga considering Vegeta at least had a functioning body while Gohan would've only just made it to the check-in station of Enma.

Also, Gohan couldn't sense Kid Boo's Ki. He and Goten and Trunks had to explicitly ask Piccolo what was going on when the Genki Dama hit Boo and killed him.
