Super isn't perfect, but it's nowhere near as bad as Evolution.

I'll take Evolution without being a troll. It's over rather quickly, there are occasions where I get a guilty rush out of the movie, and I like the actress who played Bulma (sexualy speaking). Super is more of a labor to get through, if just for the amount of content versus a single movie.

The Fox shitstorm by far. This is actually a good comparison because Evolution could easily just be a screwed up alternate universe in Super....Universe 666. Nothing made sense in that movie....just a mix and match of incorrect bits of different parts of the franchise. Terrible thing is that a lot of people who only watched DBZ when they were a junior or never at all watched DB/Z will think it's shitter than it is after watching Evolution.

Super has some redeeming features at least, such as the occasional good background music (dunno if it's Kikuchi) and Vegeta making an omelette and pulling a funny face when trying to convince Whis (which reminds me of that old Vegeta cooking song which can be found on YT with subs), thereby giving me two of my phone screen backgrounds over the last few months (I have multiple backgrounds at the same time). Now they just gotta add Vegeta struggling with a computer and I'll be happy.

jk, but I don't think Evolution did any permanent damage. It came out around the same time as that shitty Street Fighter Chung-Lee movie, and people still love those games.

Super is like having your best friend steal $60.

You may have technically lost more in terms of monetary value in Evolution, but the emotional scars of your best friend Toei Animation who should show you the respect and care you deserve fucking you over cuts far deeper than any wound.

Super at least looks and tries to be dragonball. Evolution was some studio execs taking a character list and some names they found funny looking from the series and throwing it in a blender.

Super is at least faithful to source material even if it's not very good. Evolution was basically Fox taking a watery diarrhea shit on all 42 tankōbon volumes and every VHS/DVD/Blu-ray sets of the series then saying it's no good for the public eye.
