If a random low-class Saiyan had a life that corresponded to that of Goku (i.e. same masters, rivals, friends, journey and mindset) up to the Vegeta fight (if they make it that far), how powerful would they be compared to Goku?

Hmm. Tbh Goku's gains in part one really weren't impressive compared to the majority of the Saiyans. He had training from several of the Earth's greatest masters, been put in many life endangering battles and drunk a potion that supposedly brought out his latent potential and by the time of Z, well into his 20s, he had a power level that wasn't even a third of his brother, who himself was a low class.

Equal or slightly better in those conditions, since Goku had that super low birth power level. There's no reason to think he had anything special genetically.
If he had a normal saiyan mindset (ie no head accident) he'd not have the same level of friendships and would out weaker, even if trained by the same people.

Far weaker. Vegeta had natural talent for a Saiyan from birth, whereas Goku had a ton of latent potential. No other low class Saiyan would have had the same growth that Goku did. I also think that both Raditz and Nappa already reached their max potential, on a side note.

That's after all his training though and is with Goku's "mindset".

How do you know no other low-class saiyan would have had the same growth with the same trainers and mindset? There's no other full-blooded saiyan to go by. Literally the main thing that sets Goku apart from other saiyans is his experiences on Earth and his human-like mindset.

-Logic wise: No full-blooded Saiyan could go beyond the tens of thousands. Goku/Vegeta managed to do so because Vegeta was a super rare elite and Goku was the messiah, a Saiyan equivalent of Jesus Christ.

-Plot wise: Anyone in Goku's place would have become as strong as the plot needed him to be.

Goku's upbringing and mindset are the most important things about him, so if this Saiyan is just like him I'd think they'd fare about the same as Goku did.
