I would consider Monster and Berserk (especially Golden Age and Black Swordsman) to be in this tier. Vagabond from what I read was really good. I'd say Vinland is close but perhaps a tier lower

Depends on what you're looking for and what genres. Berserk is definitely up there. Vagabond is up there to an extent. The most recent 100 or so chapters felt like a huge drag to read, but there's no denying the quality of the first half or so of the manga.
