Dabra and Bobbidi had already said Kaioshin's energy don't work with Boo in the same way that pure energy does. That's why they couldn't absorb any energy from Kaioshin and Kibito. Knowing that, how Boo converted South Kaioshin's power into his own is a guess.

Are you sure? I think Shin and Kibito were just too weak to be of any use. By that logic SK should have weakened Pure Boo no matter what.

Bobbidi thought hundreds of humans were tapped, so I doubt it's a matter of power. Also, that just means they couldn't absorb their energy to revive Boo. It doesn't necessarily have to mean SK will automatically weaken Boo. Kibito said Boo required tremendous pure energy to revive. Kaioshin and Kibito have God Chi, so it's different.

I haven't thought about it, I just thought Super was really unnecessary but I have been intrigued by some of things in it like: Zamasu and Goku Black. Although starting college hasn't really left me with a lot of time to try it. If I wasn't in school, I'd catch up on everything in about a week, maybe less if I get invested in it, but now...I'd take a while (Then again, semesters almost over, so maybe during break I'll catch up). I am aware of episode 5 though. Such BEAUTIFUL animation!!! They should animate it like that nowadays!!
