I don’t think Vegeta gains any power in his year in the Rosat, he’s equal with Goku the whole time.

That just means Goku got stronger for some reason. In both the anime and manga he beats up Rose Black, who was alot stronger than him before.

He never actually fights Goku Black himself. And Vegeta's entire training was based on his ability to switch from God to Blue in an instant, I see no reason why Vegeta is ahead of Goku here.

Goku and Vegeta were equals before Goku Black and then right after. Nothing puts Goku > Vegeta imo.

Yes but Blue Vegeta was bullied by Rose Black and even somewhat SSJ Black before the rosat. He comes out of it and now can beat Black. The god to blue switch was just so he wouldn't lose stamina in blue.

Yeah, I think the only reason he lost the first time was because of stamina issues.
