If we assume that off-screen, Pan donated some of her energy to Goku, it's possible Gogeta was a Super Saiyan God. Six pure-hearted Saiyans; Goku, Gohan, Goten, Trunks, Vegeta, (and Pan) all contributed to his power, and he had red hair.

So, was he was a Super Saiyan God?

Maybe they messed up the Fusion without anyone noticing and that was really Super Saiyan God Veku.

Probably. The real reason he only lasts 10 minutes is that he opens up a portal in space time and does some of Freeza's instant GAINZ training for 20 minutes so he doesn't look like a skinny beta cuck in front of everyone.

Goku was a Super Saiyan 4 fusion of himself and Vegeta

Gogeta having that title would have made for a decent contrast with Omega, who called himself a God of Destruction.

Maybe the power of a Super Saiyajin 4 fusion was enough to bypass God and get him directly to Legendary Super Saiyajin 4.
