Were Law and especially Kidd too strong post-skip?

Luffy trained for 2 years, under Rayleigh and with the powerful Rusukaina animals, some of which were way stronger than a pacifista. Pre-skip, Luffy was probably stronger than Kidd and Law, but they weren't far off.

Kidd and Law just went straight to the New World, without special training. Then Kidd got imprisoned by Kaidou. Shouldn't they just be fodder compared to Gear 4 Luffy, which he only got due to training on Rusukaina? Law kinda is, but what about Kidd? Maybe even Zoro should be stronger than Kidd. Kidd's a bum.

I guess Kid got like a 3x boost while training in the prison with Luffy lol

Law was weird. Wasn’t he struggling with Vergo? Got destroyed by Doflamingo, and then suddenly became a major player in Wano.

The real answer is plot. But besides that, they needed the post timeskip training because they weren’t gonna survive the New World with the amount of clout the crew had gotten. Law and Kid were less on the WG radar, so they naturally grew from their experiences in the New World.

Law struggled with Vergo because of the heart shenanigans.

He was always going to be exceptionally strong because of how broken his ability was.
