When I was around 8 or 9, I thought that Goku and had other life beings trapped in their bodies (kind of like Yu-Gi-Oh). Why? Because the damned Ocean dub had an intro with a bunch of stuff that we hadn't seen yet and had scenes of Vegeta and Goku turning Super Saiyan.

I was also informed by some older kids who "saw the Japanese version," that there were a lot of sex scenes that we'll never get to see such as Bulma and Vegeta, and Goku and Chi Chi.

Then, I was told that the U.S. version had worse animation than the Japanese version. This is not entirely untrue, but what he was specifically referring to was the special effects on the attacks. So, the story I got was that in the Japanese version, they're all glowy and have crazy special effects and the U.S. version just drew over it to give us regularly-drawn animation.

This was a world where Dragon Ball Z was insanely popular, but access to anything beyond the Ginyu fight was very rare (at least to us kids; I'm not talking about those who were able to buy the fansub VHS tapes).

Is it because of the addition of SSJ3 Vegeta in the Raging Blast games?

I thought that "Super Saiyan 5 Goku" was drawn by Akira Toriyama and that the AF series was in the works. To be fair, this was either the late 90's or early 2000's and nobody really knew anything, especially as extensively as now. All we saw was pictures pop up and the rumors were spread. Though, by the time the second batch of "Dragon Ball AF" pictures were released, it became obvious that they were either Photoshops of screenshots taken from the series, or just terribly-drawn fan-art so that was over for me.

Dodoria is referred to as a "he" in the anime/manga. TFS changed his gender for comedic purposes though.

I used to think that Vegeta (Post Reecome) and Freezer First Form had a power of around 80,000. for while the power of Captain Ginyu and Goku Base were 120,000.

  He also found that Vegeta (Post Dende) was just a little bit stronger than Goku (Newcomer to Namek), as they all looked forward to Goku's recovery, even though they had all surpassed 90,000 in power, especially Vegeta, Piccolo and Gohan.
