What is this board missing?

I want some constructive criticism. What do you guys think is holding this board back from becoming more active, and becoming a place that many people would want to join? I feel we are still doing a great job activity-wise, but more would never hurt us. What can we do to not only make this a more inviting place to newcomers, but retain new members when they join?

I think forum activities would be a good idea. Mishimi did them back on Makai, although his board was much smaller than this one. I think we're on the right track with that anyway I guess, since we're having a forum watch.

This might be a little out there, I think we should try our best to affiliate with TMF, too. They're a growing forum just like ours and we could both benefit from affiliation.

Definitely agreed on the forum activities. I will try to think of more things that can get members involved.

It would definitely be worth a shot trying to affiliate them, but I'm not sure they'd be too eager too. Considering that we spammed their board and they have over 1400 more members than us, the odds would be slim. But looking for similar sized forums to affiliate with could be smart, it's just tough to find them.

I just think the forum could be a bit more active. I don't think there's anything wrong with it. I like it, but if it were even more active, it could be more attractive (can't remember the fucking word I was about to use. I forgot it before I wrote it, so I wrote attractive) to new members because they could debate/talk a lot more.

But yeah maybe also more forum activities, like the pod-cast, you gais are doing. To show that we are more than just DragonBall talking forum. we are like fam. jk, but we are like friends that can talk about more than only DragonBall.

As is though, the forum is kewl & friendly, so really nothing to change much, in my opinion.

I actually think we could focus on the forum being a little more Dragon Ball centric. Nothing like Kanzenshuu, but you know. And the forum activities also being about Dragon Ball.

I've been making a couple Dragon Ball topics, but I'll think of some more sometime.

Indeed, I agree with everything that is said here.

I must say, when I built DBZeta, I used Dragonball as the base of the forum. I knew if I used it, then we would at least get a lot of members right off the bat, which we did. But as time has gone on, it has become more and more of a general forum, with focus on anime and manga. I really like the spread of activity that we have here, as nearly every section has something going on in it. As SHC said, we just need more posts to fill those sections and we will be golden.

I'm close to both of the admins of TMF. Since Yoshi already talked to him, I'm sure we can get a lot of activity when we affiliate with them, since they know how to get activity by bringing members from different fansites.

I suggest we focus more activity on General Manga/Anime stuff since the DBZ section is just doing fine and all.

I've invited 4 guys already from other site. I'll do my best to invite more.

Forum-inclusive games like the Mafia and roleplaying would be nice, but from the first Mafia turnout, it doesn't seem we have enough dedication.

Not really, some just kinda spontaneously lost interest. I'd say it's an issue of numbers. With more members, chances are you'll get more dedicated people signing up from the start because they really want to, as opposed to reaching for additional members to play solely for the sake of filling up spots in the game.

Well people have been really losing interest in Dragonball such as me. I think we should focus more on anime/manga than Dragonball specifically
