What levels/numbers do you have for Path to Power?

Having just watched the Path to Power movie, I am curious where you guys put everyone...here is my analysis:

- Goku starts out with much of the same feats as his Hunt for the Dragonballs arc counterpart. Surviving bullets with minimum damage, destroying a big rock with a finger, etc

- Goku struggles with Yamcha and gets knocked into a bunch of trees without the excuse of being hungry like in canon. Is Yamcha stronger in this continuity?


- Goku easily defeats the RRA mooks and knocks off Sergant Metallic's head with a single punch, who in canon gave Goku considerable trouble and was implied to be close to him and Chin's level at the 21st

- Android #8 handily overpowers Goku and nearly kills him

- White is fearless and can be placed at the level of his canon counterpart


- Roshi's Max Power KHH seems to be nerfed in this movie as it only destroys the RRA ship vs a mountain and moon like in canon

- Goku's first KHH is just as powerful as Max Powered Roshi's, this along with the Metallic feat above would place Goku far, far higher than his BODB self

- Goku gets knocked out by a small middle. Exhaustion from the KHH? Or was the middle just too powerful for Goku?

- Blue knocks out Yamcha with a single hit when he tries to catch Blue offguard, yet Blue is killed by a regular gun firing squad....so not exactly sure on his level


- Black's Battle Jacket blows up a significant portion of the island and tanks Goku's KHH

- Android #8 is able to somewhat hold the Battle Jacket back before being torn apart

- Goku gets a rage boost and destroys Battle Jacket Black with his KHH

It’s like a mix between the Pilaf Saga and the Red Ribbon Saga, and it’s got a pretty smooth animation. I like it, it manages to be better than the original series in stuff like Android 8’s role. The ending is kinda emotional, but it then becomes a huge asspull.

I’d definitely recommend watching if you’re a Dragon Ball fan. It’s better than the other Part 1 movies I’d say.

Any thoughts on where you would place the characters power-wise? I need some help figuring out the film's power scale.

I only watched the movie once so I don’t think there’s much I can say. I can totally see Yamcha pulling a feat like that on Goku in canon had he stood his ground vs Goku though, assuming the latter wasn’t seriously injured in the movie.

Destructive feats were never really consistent on the series, so I don’t see any reason to nerf Roshi. Wasn’t the entire RRA fleet wiped out?

I have Goku Initially at the level of Goku (BoDB), then I have Goku at the level of Goku (Post Muscle Tower).

I have Buff Roshi more or less at the level of Goku (Arc Uranai Baba), only that in the cannon, the Kamehameha Maximum Power of Buff Roshi has a giant amplification, up to a level close to that of Old Piccolo Daimao (40%). For while in the Movies Buff Roshi has a regular Kamehameha.

Goku apparently has a very amplified Kamehameha and as the Movie went on he got a little stronger.

I have Octavio and the Black Jacket stronger than in the cannon, but I would say that they did not exceed levels like Yamcha's (TB22).

Agreed with Roshi and I think your right with Goku's KHH getting a greater boost to demonstrate what a natural prodigy Goku is.
