Started reading 5 different manga as per Kenshi's challenge:
Solanin - Read all of it in about 2 hours. It was a mediocre slice of life series not worth recommending when all its elements have been done far better elsewhere.
Ping Pong - Currently 6 chapters in and have little expectations of it being any more than a mediocre sports series I normally wouldn't bother with when it seems lacking in the tension or stakes to make it worthwhile compared to re-reading Real or Ashita no Joe. It doesn't help the art is terrible and if I were to go out of my way to view it normally, the anime with its good animation would be a preferable option.
21st Century Boys - The virtual world in the original manga required more suspension of disbelief to accept than any of the other parts of the manga (bar maybe Kenji and Friend's charisma). Milking the franchise with an epilogue revolving around it seems like a bad idea, even 5 chapters in.
Golden Boy - Read 1 chapter of it and not really impressed. It seems to just be a lesser version of GTO in many ways.
Blade of the Immortal - Read 1 chapter. It seems like it has potential to be a good exploration on the flaws of immortality, or at the very least a cool action series.
