Indeed. One Piece's story and art are both good at first, then after East Blue it peaks during Alabasta/Skypiea, slowly declines during CP9/Whitebeard, and takes a big nosedive during Part II.

no. Like best story, but comparatively shit art. Like if you rated the story out of 100 and the art of of 100, the story rating is way higher than the art rating.

100% House of Five Leaves. The art is honestly atrocious but the story is quality. Something you'd start and likely drop because the art is so bad. If you stick with it it's worth it.

It has an anime. It's okay but cuts out too many main events and changes the ending to an inferior version.

Anyway, I think the most obvious choice besides Hunter X Hunter would be Attack On Titan. It's a phenomenal story, crippled only by its amateur Manga artwork, and its ending.
