Which Strawhat character has the most endearing story?

I'm going to say Chopper. He was isolated and through his experiences had developed low self-belief. Thanks to the Strawhats' encouragement, acceptance and adventurism, he was able to break free from his psychological constraints and to show his potential for bravery and sociability.

Yeah, Chopper’s always stood-out to me & made me sad but that one’s kind-of lost its sadness if you see Chopper more recently. He looks & behaves so…I don’t know but I also include Robin. That stupid Aunt of hers. They are tied.

Chopper definitely has gone downhill in quality in Part II although not as much as Usopp.
