Seems a little strange that only 4 people on the future Pirate King's crew have Haki. The current war seems like the perfect place for the rest of the crew to develop it. Who do you think has the best chance?

5, actually, since Usopp unlocked Kenbunshoku Haki on Dressrosa and has yet to master it. Aside from him learning to fully use it, maybe Nami due to it amplifying her already great natural talent at analysing the weather and incoming disturbances. The others don't really have fighting styles that could really benefit from Haki other than perhaps Franky (and it's questionable if a cyborg could master it properly) and the less people get revealed to be Haoshoku Haki users, the better.

I'm not counting Luffy when I say 4.

I can see Franky getting it. I don't see why a cyborg wouldn't be able to use it if you are able to imbue weapons with Haki. I also think Nami is a candidate for Kenbunshoku given her evasive fighting style. Aside from that I'd agree with you. Though it still seems silly for New World fighters not to know how to use Haki when every one of Oden's followers managed to learn advanced variants of it.

Chopper maybe. Having seeing haki could help with diagnosing injuries. It would fit in with that mode where he focuses on analysing the opponent (brain point?).

Nami could use seeing haki to help with navigation/detecting currents (by assessing fish movement) maybe.

Robin could use foreseeing/mindreading haki for spy work or to get some kind of flashbacks from archaeological finds.

I'm surprised Brook doesn't have armament haki at all, assuming it was as commonplace in his previous era as it is now. Then again Luffy etc got that far into the Grand Line without haki.

We might still not know the full extent of what haki can do to be honest. Like we've seen that conquerors can knock out opponents but also that it can produce a physical force. We mostly saw that foreseeing can read attack intentions, but in Cody's case it allowed him to hear other verbalised thoughts too.

Still, it seems somewhat mixed when it comes to Franky's fighting style mainly relying on technology to mimic or make up for a lack of natural superpowers up until now. Adding a more natural method could potentially be done well as a parallel/inversion to Kuma having more contemporary abilities amplified by technology as well as show Franky's natural superiority to the Pacifista approach, but it'd probably take a lot of care to not clash with his current fighting style.

To be fair, Brook's current attacks focusing on spiritual matters and freezing don't exactly make increasing attack potency with Busoshoku Haki much of a necessity, at least not until when and if the entirety of the crew start fighting significant logias on a regular basis.

I imagine Robin developing it... imagine those big ass arms and legs infused with Haki.

The story is reaching it's climax pretty soon ain't it? I think the only other member to utilize it efficiently would be Usopp. I don't think there's quite enough time to develop the others in this category and their usefulness comes in many other ways.

Maybe, but it's stated that Haki blooms in the midst of difficult battles and it should be expected that Wano will test every Straw Hat similar to Alabasta. I wouldn't be surprised if they develop it considering Kaido/Big Mom's top crew members all possess it.

All of the Wano Samurai were capable of using it despite having no training. Oden could use Busoshoku level 2 before meeting Whitebeard.

Zolo also used it in Alabasta.

The point is that it wouldn't add much to their characters. Robin has 0 memorable fights post-timeskip.

Sure it does.. it makes them more formidable for the enemies that will appear after this arc. There is going to be an even greater war than what we are witnessing now, so the crew still has to grow as a whole.

And Robin is about to fight Black Maria who is part of the Flying 6. The same Flying 6 who are all implied to be within reach of Kaido's top 3 commanders. Ulti has Haki strong enough that Luffy was going to use Gear 4 to beat her. Robin will need a power up of some sort to win this fight with Black Maria.

A characters worth isn’t based on their capabilities in a fight. I can’t say it’s impossible for her to learn Haki but it’s certainly not necessary.

Agreed, but it certainly is a factor. I don't think it's likely that most of the crew will get Haki but it's definitely possible. This will be the crew of the Pirate King not long from now. They all will be powerhouses by New World standards. Whether that means powering up from Haki or by other means, they will definitely get stronger than they are now.

Well they must have attained it naturally. They definitely trained to become more sufficient with it but nobody taught it to them as Luffy had Rayleigh or Zoro had Mihawk.
