Why do GT fans constantly say EoZ, BoG and FnF are all in the same timeline, even if new evidence shows otherwise?
I understand the ChÅzenshÅ« Volumes have placed them together because of time period

and there is no such thing as canon in the Dragonball universe, but there is no evidence that ties them all together to Mr Toriyama's vision.
If we look at the Star Wars franchise (episodes 1 to 6), throughout the movies, characters and the story from one movie connects to the next either by them being there or other characters talking about them and their achievements, so it's one continuous flow.
Also, if we look at EoZ to BoG, Akira Toriyama himself explained it was Beerus that sealed Lord Kaioshin, so it has some connection to the manga. And with the new movies (FnF and maybe part III) and TV series (Super), we are shown Gohan losing his abilities to use higher transformation forms because of lack of training and both Goku and Vegeta seems to have kept there God powers.
For GT to be tie together, you'd have to come up with reasons to explain why Goten is so strong so that he could defeat Bebi on his own in his base form and why Vegeta had trouble with #17, even though his base should be above or close Vegito's level and why Gohan all of sudden trained in GT where in FnF stated he was busy with other things.
