Why is that Chi Chi wants Videl to marry Gohan?

Videl didn’t want to marry Gohan. Chi Chi hated her at first, but she found out she was rich. She pressured her anyway. Why is that?

Wasn't it just for that Satan money? Or I suppose maybe she was more interested in social status rather than money, since she wantrf Gohan to live as a scholar (and scholars I'm guessing aren't super rich, but it is prestigious).
Or was that because Gohan himself had shown interest in being a scholar, even before she suggested it? Maybe he saw a scholar on TV or something.

Oh also Chi Chi was kind of like a princess as a kid, right? So I guess that would explain her draw towards prestige too.

Chi-Chi never hated Videl. She was understandably suspicious of her at first because she came unannounced, but she was nice to her even before mentioning her financial status. She even invited her to dinner.
