WHY KEEP WATCHING????

I see alot of complaining about SUPER.

Here are some examples of the complaints i see.

1. The writing is bad.
   [*]This past few episodes weren't impressive at all.
   [*]SUPER has no real interesting characters.
   [*]The PowerScaling is broken.
   [*]The PowerScaling makes no sense.
   [*]SUPER is inconsistent.
   [*]The manga is better.
   [*]Anime Jiren sucks.
   [*]unnecessary moves just for drama.
   [*]DragonBall SUPER sucks.
   [*]The manga is actually cannon & i don't consider anything in the anime accurate.
   

And yet i'm noticing many of those that are complaining alot about the so-called bad quality of SUPER are still keeping up on recent episodes & coming here participating in discussions while also arguing that this character from SUPER (anime) can beat that character from SUPER (anime).

I am absolutely not attempting to provoke anyone, or trigger them.
I keep watching because i love it, i love the overpowered characters, the ridiculously high PowerScaling, it's about time the DragonBall Universe gotten ridiculously powerful.
I love it to the point i'm watching the english subs.......& I HATE ENGLISH SUBS & i'm not afraid to admit it.

1. But i'm seriously wondering why do you keep watching, what keeps you coming back when you think so little of it in the first place ????

2. And if you believe the manga is so much better then the anime, then why not focus on building the manga section with DragonBall SUPER manga discussions ????

3. I'm curious & i'm asking everyone here said something similar to "Well it'll be over soon, so may as well finish watching till it ends"

What's the excuse IF DragonBall SUPER wasn't ending, or there suddenly was an announcement saying there would be more seasons in its future ????

A couple reasons for myself personally.

-I feel obligated to the board to keep up with it. I'd rather watch it and be able to contribute at times on the board rather than watch there be no activity on the site.

-It has its moments. Note I'm not even specifying whether said moments are good, but Super does have some entertaining factors. Whether that means a brief moment of a decently animated fight, or something so stupid that it makes me laugh, I can't say there are NO entertaining parts about Super.

-The manga releases once a month, so there is never anywhere near the same amount of content to discuss.

-Being a Dragon Ball fan since the early 2000s, the show will always hold a special place within me, and I doubt I'll ever quit watching it due to nostalgia.

Myself being extremely negative in nature makes me pick apart whatever is bad about something as opposed to saying what I enjoyed about it. That's just the way I am when watching Super. Some of it no doubt entertains me, but I usually end up posting about what I thought was bad.

It also helps being baked when I watch every episode.

To add on from what SSJ2 said...

- It's only a ~20 minute per week commitment.
- It'll be over soon anyway.
- Assuming a sequel series will be made after it or the 20th DB Movie, having at least a basic understanding of it's events would be necessary if watching it, which would be better than Super by default if it's Post-Z, thereby offering actual tension.
- To add onto the board contribution part, it's also necessary to know why it fails compared to other parts of the franchise.
- Much like what the new Star Wars trilogy did for the prequels, it makes me appreciate GT a lot more.

Super has had the opposite effect on me. I appreciate seeing Goku and Vegeta spam Blue all the time because it's better than 2 episodes of a GT fight in base form.

I find it mildly entertaining at best.

Because you don't have to watch it when you find no enjoyment to be had or expect any to be given.
Nobody is forcing you to keep watching but you.

@Jeff Styles @Future Warrior Thank You, your replies seems a little more honest & reasonable compared to some on other forums.

As i said i love SUPER & I don't criticise it but i can see not watching something anymore even when there's months before it ends cause i feel i can always put that time wasted on something i don't enjoy & only see further disappointment in into something worthwhile.

The same reason i watch DC films free or skip them altogether. It they don't interests me then i'm not going to watch them just to criticise them in conversations.
That's MY TIME wasted simply for the benefit of others & effort just to speak negatively about it.

I might give it a watch now that a good chunk of it is dubbed. As long as it keeps the OST.
