Will Beerus be eventually left in the dust?

Do you think that, as the series goes on, Beerus will be easily surpassed by Goku and Vegeta? Or likely not, he'll consistently remain as a power cap for them?

It's strange that this isn't a common occurrence in DB, for someone other than the main cast to remain so long on top.

Probably not. He's been treat very much as an endgame for Goku and Vegeta and with the Angels not being capable of fighting, Hakaishin tier is really the only peak for them to aim to fully surpass. I doubt they'll fully surpass him beyond temporary power ups until the end of Super, whenever that will be.

Yeah, they seem really adamant in letting Goku or Vegeta surpass Beerus. I agree, I think that if Beerus were meant to be left eating dirty, he'd be already in such a situation by now. Maybe now that Goku has U.I more or less available, we can say he has finally been officially surpassed, but with how much his power gets retconned and re-interpreted, who knows.

If MUI remains only a temporary power up, then I'd doubt the status quo will change soon. UI is treat more as a technique than a power up (eg. Beerus' slight use of it not amping his stats at all beyond reactions) and what power Goku gains seems more to be due to the form naturally belonging to those on such a godly plateau. I'd say both versions of the form would probably be at set levels rather than ones he can increase just by getting stronger like other transformations, which will be a way of the manga still keeping Beerus above him if UI Sign is the best he can use regularly without needing to constantly retcon his standing like the anime at one point treating Kaioken Blue x2 as something that made Beerus cautious .

i think i jst go by the idea that v-jump meant manga version, since v-jump is also the magazine in which the manga is published in & iirc there is nothing contradicting that i think i think.

Jiren surpassed his universe's Hakaishin, so anything is possible. I personally don't believe Beerus is at full power potential wise since he's a lazy ass cat, so if pushed he might get stronger and even master UI.

Eventually yeah, but not anytime soon. I think both Beerus and Whis are too popular for Tori and Toei to let them go which is why they'll keep Beerus as the top dog for more time to come.
