Gotenks-Boo is not 2x stronger than Gohan. Otherwise he wouldn't consider Gohan a threat.

I'd say Gohan's lead on Super-Boo was bigger than Gotenks-Boo's on Gohan. I don't know but to me it looked like when Gotenks-Boo formed and they were about to fight, it was almost shown in a now we can see how high Gohan really is way. Gotenks-Boo's talk with Gohan also implied that. Of-course it was shown not too long after (like right after) that Gohan was no match for Gotenks-Boo, but the point still stands.

He also managed to break-out of the galactic-doughnut attack or whatever that was.

We've discussed that already. My view is Super Buu was not one shot material for Ultimate Gohan, because Gohan was pissed
for what Buu had done and i doubt he intended to repeat the same mistake he'd done against Cell, so, if he could one shot, he'd
have done it. Buutenks, on the other hand, implied he could've finished the fight a lot sooner, but wanted to enjoy his fusion time
while it lasted.

It's the other way round, I think. Even Boo tells Gohan he could have killed him earlier and Gohan says he saw through that, because he absorbed Piccolo or something.

Gotenks-Boo tried to finish the fight early. He even says they better start fighting before fusion-time runs-out.

Gohan actually managed to dodge 2 blasts and get out of the donut. So the Evil Boo vs Gohan gap is bigger. Boo had no reason to not go full power especially with the fusion time.

If Boo was just using his eyes rather than feeling ki then that means he might actually be stronger than Gotenks like his dialogue with Gohan might imply. He was losing because he was looking at movement the wrong way.

I think Super Saiyan 3 is probably better suited being the 2x boost, and Super Saiyan 2 being the 4x boost imo. Super Saiyan 3 doesn't have to be all that large imo. Fat Buu certainly did not feel to be 3x Vegeta at all. And when he divides his power, if anything, it feels like Evil Buu might just be stronger.

It's tough to decide though on how that all breaks down. Good Buu always still felt like Fat Buu to me as well.

For these gaps, i go with one of Toshes theories (even though i had brought it up long before Tosh): It was only after rosat that
the kids did the fusion perfectly and that was the warrior Goku expected to show up and defeat Buu.

Yea I'm never going to be able to by that. Goku straight up TURNS DOWN the Rosat. That's extreme. Their power was so overwhelmingly powerful, it didn't even require Goku to even be this cautious. I think Super Saiyan Gotenks is supposed to completely manhandle Buu.

Still, Piccolo originally intended them to train a little out of the rosat to perfect the fusion multiplier, so i'm not against one considering
post rosat SSJ Gotenks as the warrior Goku was talking about.

If you don't care about logic, sure, go for it. Super Saiyan Gotenks Pre Rosat is plenty enough to handle Majin Buu. These are the facts.

But, he also told them to train a little outside of the rosat. If Super Buu hadn't emerged, maybe they could've perfected the multiplier
with a few hours of training and that was the original intention.
