...a million times more interesting, if it had been about Yusuke's life before getting hit by the car. The first ten or so minutes of the series are better than anything that came after. You had delinquent manga before I think, but not as many that were somewhat serious dramas, but instead they were comedies I think. Yu-Yu-Hakusho would have been perfect as some-what of a mix.
The dick-head teachers that laughed at him (even at his funeral). Including the gai that tried to get him suspended or something for "stealing" those other delinquents' purses.
Skipping classes. Why? Misunderstood?
Everyone being scared of him for some/no reason.
His home life with his mother being difficult and their relationship.
Takenaka-sensei and him trying to steer him toward a better path.
Keiko and Kuwabara and the others.
All of this is million times more interesting than generic shounen-series it turned-out to be.
