In-universe reason for Super and Daima's differing continuities?

Using only in-universe reasoning, what would you use to explain why Super and Daima seem to share the same god hierarchy (aside from maybe Rhymus possibly still being the incumbent Zen-o in Daima), yet take place in different continuities?

My most plausible theories would be the following: that time travel Zamasu did with Gowasu briefly in the Future Trunks arc. Let's just say that that Barbarian giant Zamasu killed was to in fact one day create a time machine in U9, or sire a Barbarian who would (which would have happened in the Super continuity had Zamasu not killed him). Without this killing taking place in the "original" version of events, a time travel event would cause Goku to awaken SSJ4 shortly after the Boo arc rather than take the God/Blue path. As well as somehow prolong Rhymus' life so that the Zen-o seen in Super doesn't take over.

Alternatively, you could say that the Time Machine created in Universe 12 caused the split.

Or I think a better explanation would be that it's in a timeline where Beerus never wakes up or doesn't exist since GoDs and angels aren't part of the lore dump Shin gave in that episode. Which would make sense since the Old Kaioshin said that person that sealed him in the sword was weaker than Boo

He said he wasn't "as bad" as Boo technically. I agree AT's original intention was probably for that person to be a villain that's an extreme threat but not to the extent as Fat Boo though. I like the idea of Beerus not existing, but I find it hard to believe AT would get rid of Beerus entirely since he wanks him so much.

That’s because GoDs and Angels have nothing to do with the lore dump.

GoDs being life linked to their universe's Kaioshin I feel like would be part of the lore. Like Piccolo and Kami were life linked due to being the same person but it's never been explained why the Kaioshin would be linked to the destroyer of the universe, and how come if Kaioshin are blinds originated from the demon realm then where do destroyers come into this? None of the destroyers have pointy ears so they must have been born after the demon realm was created which kind of doesn't fit in with the timeline of when the Kaioshin would be appointed.

Hakaishin seem to generally be selected from powerful mortals, and some have pointy ears like Sidra and Toppo (if you count him). Not that I think AT even had the idea to associate pointy ears with the Demon Realm at the time, but yeh
