Using only in-universe reasoning, what would you use to explain why Super and Daima seem to share the same god hierarchy (aside from maybe Rhymus possibly still being the incumbent Zen-o in Daima), yet take place in different continuities?
My most plausible theories would be the following: that time travel Zamasu did with Gowasu briefly in the Future Trunks arc. Let's just say that that Barbarian giant Zamasu killed was to in fact one day create a time machine in U9, or sire a Barbarian who would (which would have happened in the Super continuity had Zamasu not killed him). Without this killing taking place in the "original" version of events, a time travel event would cause Goku to awaken SSJ4 shortly after the Boo arc rather than take the God/Blue path. As well as somehow prolong Rhymus' life so that the Zen-o seen in Super doesn't take over.
Alternatively, you could say that the Time Machine created in Universe 12 caused the split.
