    I kinda liked Copy-Vegeeta.

His SSB had a better shade of blue than the real one. And Brian Drummond voicing him was a genius move on Chris Sabat's part. Amazing how the dub made this shitty filler miniarc memorable.

    Rogafuufuuken is a joke name.

狼牙風風拳 (Rogafūfūken) is a joke name because of the repeated 風 (fū). 風風 (fūfū) is onomatopoeia for wind blowing; it would translate to "whoosh whoosh". Yumcha's move is a parody on real martial art techniques. "Wolf Fang Whoosh Whoosh Fist" is the literal translation. @Cenas bald spot

Tapion's sword was never called the "Brave Sword"

In Sparking Neo and Meteor, he has the attacks "Brave Cannon", "Brave Slash", and "Brave Sword Attack". It's not that the sword itself is called "Brave Sword"; it's just that the cannon is "brave", the slash is "brave", and the sword attack is "brave". "Brave" is just an adjective to describe...

Kurilin should've named his daughter Marilyn.

I know マーロン (Māron) is a pun on "marron", the French word for chestnuts, but it normally translates to "Marlon". That's a male name. "Marilyn" in katakana is マリリン (Maririn). Compare that to "Kurilin" in katakana, クリリン (Kuririn). Exactly the same aside from the first kana. It's perfect.

    Wait a sec

Why didn't Gokuu just teleport all of them there instead of wasting time flying

The manga version of the Zamasu arc sucked dick.

It was almost as bad as the anime, honestly. Zamasu deciding to steal Gokuu's body without meeting him first was dumb. Of all the people whose body he could've stolen, he randomly decides on some guy he only heard about a day or two ago. At least in the anime, Gokuu humiliated Zamasu in front...

It makes no sense that Freeza has his armor on.

They regenerated him from being cut to small pieces. He shouldn't have any external armor on. The storyboard is much better:

The meaning of Diora's name explained.

The protagonist of Toriyama Akira's three-chapter one-shot manga Savings Soldier Cashman, published in V-Jump from 1990 to 1991. Later remade by Nakatsuru Katsuyoshi with Toriyama's supervision, published in V-Jump from 1997 to 1998. An OVA was also released in 1997. His name is, in all...

    The meaning of Chappat's name.

Character in Toriyama's 1990-1991 one-shot manga Savings Soldier Cashman. He's the policeman who gets killed and possessed by the alien Diora aka Cashman. Not many people know the meaning behind his name, but I'm pretty sure I've just discovered it. In katakana, his name is written as チャパット...

    "Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan"

Super Saiyan God Blue Super Saiyan God Evolved Super Saiyan God Plus Super Saiyan God Beyond Super Saiyan God Type B Super Saiyan God 2 Literally any of these would have been better names, but Toriyama really decided "Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan" was good 🤣

The TRUE inspiration for Super Saiyan.

I present to you all the manga Shutendouji by Nagai Goh: Created by the same guy who made iconic manga like Devilman and Mazinger Z, it was serialized in the Weekly Shounen Magazine from 1976 to 1978. The series combined traditional Japanese folklore with science fiction. Like most Nagai...

    Tomorrow's Joe's influence on Shoh-nen is understated.

I think Joe is the first notable example of a protagonist who loves fighting more than anything else. At least in anime/manga, anyway. Some people call Ring ni Kakero the most influential Shoh-nen, but lol no; that owes its whole identity to Joe. @SSJ2 @Fantastische Hure @Mystic

    Youngjijii's AF continues!

Gokek and Fajita's new transformations don't look too bad. They look a little too similar to base, though. The hair colors make them look like they're only in the process of transforming, rather than making them look like they've actually transformed. The jagged eyebrows are kinda tacky, but I...

    It's basically the same hairstyle

    Character ages

As requested by @Sovran Nila . Not counting any Room of Spirit & Time bullshit where characters aged faster or any afterlife bullshit where they stopped aging. Or any of DBS's retcons, shit is confusing Pilaf arc: Son Gokuu: 11 Chichi: 11 Oolong: 13 Pu'er: Pretty sure he's about the same age...

    Daigen's name pun

He's the guy who hits on Chelye in DBS Broly Since he's in the Freeza Force, his name is most likely a pun on a food you put in the refrigerator. Most of the soldiers' names are puns of fruits, but I can't think of anything "Daigen" would be a pun on. It sounds like something Japanese. Maybe...
