I think the important thing about this is mainly that the entire population is privy to this information, and what consequences arises from that.

If we go solely on hypotheticals I can see Law faring a lot better than Luffy did against Cracker, perhaps.
If we look at actual feats there’s nothing to suggest he’s even as strong as Sanji. But given his story importance I tend to give him the benefit of the doubt.
