Does Akainu say anything about dealing with Whitebeard on his own, 1v1? You won’t find a single panel of that. Sengoku is depicted as one of the most intelligent characters in the series. Your interpretation of the scene would be completely out of character for him.

It’s hard to say. Kidd also wasn’t really expecting Shanks to just suddenly appear in front of him like that whilst he was busy trying to destroy his fleet. That probably made the impact a lot worse. I’ll say that Zoro has better durability/endurance than Kidd maybe, so I’ll go with him.

Every matchup I can imagine for him involves against either the Straw Hat Pirates or the Red Hair Pirates. He can’t just be some run of the mill Yonko commander.
