18 vs Vegeta Discussion

The fight was even before #18 got serious.

Exactly. From a power level standpoint, Vegeta is right there with 18. The issue is that on even levels, no one can really fight an Android. We see it later with Piccolo vs 17, right before Cell shows up, Piccolo is gasping for air. The non android fighters start losing stamina after just a couple of exchanges.

Yea the fight was even prior to her getting serious. She states they were both holding back. So both of them were holding back and then both were fighting all out. Pretty much the same result.

Weighted Piccolo rivals No.18, and Vegeta states that Weighted Piccolo's power surpassed his. Vegeta also says that Gingertown Cell and Weighted Piccolo were enormous kis, and Cell is a bit weary of Vegeta. Sooo

I don't think I can just write away the fight and the statements surrounding the fight. What I see is Vegeta fighting very well against 18, stamina being the main reason he lost.

Android and androids are interchangeable at times here. Trunks says that Vegeta is doing so well fighting those androids, meanwhile, he was only fighting 18.

Trunks thinks Vegeta is fighting evenly with the No. 18 he knows from his time. He then proceeds to get two-shotted, and then says that his Androids "weren't this outrageously strong".

You can squeeze it somewhat tightly.

18: 125

That's still not even rivalling, but I guess you could lower 18 a bit more.

17 states Vegeta is an incredible guy.

Trunks states that he is fighting on par with 18.

Piccolo does not correct him and states that the stamina will be his undoing.


Cell > 18 >= Vegeta

If Piccolo is kicking Ginger Cell's ass, and 16 says one of the two powers rivals 17 & 18, its obviously not Cell. Cell is inferior.

Which is what makes this a debate.

There are definitely two sides to this situation.

Half the statements point to 18 being rivals with Vegeta, the other half point to 18 being largely superior.

So to align with what happens in the future (Cell), wouldn't it be more logical to go with the latter option?

There's only 3 statements that suggest that 18 was superior.

1) 18 tells Vegeta she has nothing to worry about and that he's nothing special.
2) 16 says that Piccolo rivals the two of them.
3) 18 says what can Vegeta do to Cell when he was powerless against me.

There are 3 statements that suggest they are on par.

1) 17 says Vegeta is an incredible guy.
2) Trunks says he is on par with 18.
3) Piccolo brings up stamina as the reason he lost, not power.

And of course, the actual fight. Which should be the important thing here shouldn't it?

18 saying Vegeta was powerless against her says it all imo. Makes it seems like she wasn't taking the battle seriously despite being at full power, which aligns with her constantly smiling throughout the fight.

Dabura said Gohan was trash. And if you want to assume she has reserves, that's fine, but what we saw during the fight, was an even battle, as stated by Trunks.
