I'm not sure I want to try... This formula also runs into problems with Goku + Gohan, unless we assume that the resulting fusion would also have his potential unlocked like Gohan.

EDIT: I just checked, and Satan would at least have to be a 60 for Goku to not get weaker (it'd fit with Goku's 1,000 + 1 line though). I'm not sure I could really justify Satan being that high.

That's the dub only. In the manga he just says it'll give him a very minuscule increase. It's possible he'd get weaker, but would the same apply for the dance then? Would fusing with someone much weaker than you also end up weaker?

3,600,000,000 / 3,600,000,000 = 1 *100 = 100 (Goku is 100% of Vegeta)

3,600,000,000 + 3,600,000,000 = 7,200,000,000 *100 = 720,000,000,000

450,000,000,000,000 / 720,000,000,000 = 625

***Note***: The 625 is completely arbitrary. Instead of basing Vegetto's battle power off of a formula, I worked backwards and based the formula off of his battle power which I just made based off of where I had other characters.

Base Vegeta: 18,000

8,000 / 18,000 = 0.4444 *100 = 44.44 (Goku is 44% of Vegeta)

8,000 + 18,000 = 26,000 *44.44 = 1,155,555 *625 = ~720,000,000

And yes, I know Toriyama obviously doesn't do any of this, but I can play around with numbers if I want. It's fun for me.

Still to this day the best formula I've seen for potara.

So, Base Vegetto is 625 times stronger than Base Goku/Vegeta?

Also, what do you think of Vados statement of Potara being a tens of times multiplier in Super?

I take that with a grain of salt. Super also put a time limit on the Potara when it was made clear in the manga that it was infinite.

It was explained that the U7 Kaioshin weren't aware of this, so not a retcon. Their lack of knowledge isn't contrived either, given there wouldn't have been any need for them to experiment with Potara fusing mortals, nor would the Kaioshin of the other Universes have a necessity to divulge such information to them until the fight with Zamasu.
