Roshi didn't actually believe that though ahill. We see his true thoughts while as Jackie Chun. Everyone lets out their true feelings there. Yamcha and Krillen are shitting themselves and have lost all hope, Jackie thinks it might go bad for him.

He probably thinks Goku is the top dog, but it isn't something he can prove with an iron fist.

Basically, beyond all the over-analysing (not meant to antagonise, just couldn't think of a better word) I think the point of Chapa-o is to show to everyone how much Goku has improved and that's kind-of his big purpose for the saga. That's what he's there for, to just make Goku look all that much higher and show how much stronger he got over 3 years, so yes Chapa-o has to be strong. Very, very strong.

This man right here knows what he's talking about.

The overanalyzing is why you hold the views you hold today. People have been analyzing the shit out of these topics for a long time and much good comes from it most of the time, others it is a waste of time, but that's how it goes.

So why do you think P? There was kind of an overestimation towards Chappa-o? Like I cited there are strong points point towards there being no such thing (and I agree with it), but Yamcha's comment of "I didn't think anybody could defeat Chappa-o this easily" comes off to me as he basing it off on the amazing rumors surrounding Chapa-o.

But I kind of agree with Fantastische Hure about Chappa's purpose. I think someone like Panpoot is wjat's an example of overestimation and being just not up to the rumors. But Yamcha's reactions should be analyzed more in depth IMO. Is there an example in the manga where a character has more or less the same reaction as Yamcha when describing Goku's victory over Chappa?

I don't see what changes their opinion on Chappa. It's clear where they stand. Goku being impressed by them doesn't change that.

Do you think Yamcha could also take out Chappa that easily?

He states he didn't think anyone could. What would suggest that he could, the person actually making the statement?

But didn't you say withheld's logic of Goku (vs Kuririn) >> Goku (vs Chappa) may be right? You were also confused about this Chappa vs Yamcha issue, hence why I came off with that explanation.

Yea, Goku say something. I forget now. But it's hard for me to let go of the statements made during the Chappa fight. They were definitive.

To conclude, I officially feel excitement about Chappa level'd powers is ok, I think Goku lied about using all of his power against Krillen initially and I think Battle Level Goku and Match Level Goku are rivals.

Battle level Goku and match level Goku being rivals seems a little fishy to me. Goku made a point that he had to use another level of power to not kill anybody in the tournament, which seems pointless if it's close to his "non suppressed" level. It was also defined as "another level of power" by Tenshinhan.

A considerable one, considering he didn't seem TOO ahead of Full Match Level Goku.

Because Match Level Goku could keep up with him (and only got the worse when Ten saw through his super speed "stuff"), yet his full power could keep up with Battle Level Goku.

I'd say Tenshinhan (still suppressed) >= Match Level Goku by the same amount Battle Level Goku was >= FP Tenshinhan. Sounds fair.

Goku and Tien are equal. Then Goku uses super speed and Tien is able to see him because of his third eye.

If you are going to break down Goku in the Tien fight it has to be...

1) Initial
2) Super speed
3) Battle Level
