Anybody still keep up with Berserk?

I've just been skimming the chapters since Miura's death but apparently Rakshas died a complete disappointment and Guts has resigned himself to die lol, I didn't expect him to break down mentally this much after Griffith dodged his sword swings.

Are the new chapters getting better yet? I see there's somewhat more dialogue now than in the early phases of Post-Miura Berserk but the release schedule is somehow even slower than under Miura and something always feels off.

I've occasionally gone over them but I don't find the story to be interesting. Perhaps it has improved since I last viewed it, but unless Miura left detailed documentation, I will just consider it fanfic with a budget.

More literally said he is going off his memory and won't do chapters or plot points he doesn't remember. I also don't consider it to be anything but an official fanfiction, albeit one that follows the ending Miura intended for the series.

I did read it. I couldn't even tell if Rakshas died. If he did then yeah it was pretty sad. Compared to the damage we've seen apostles take, he took close to nothing.

As out of character as this is for Guts, the only way I can justify him becoming suicidal is if he ends up using his Behelit to sacrifice the Black Swordsman Party and become an apostle, which would also be out of character for him but it would at least give us more potential plot threads.

Guts would never become an Apostle honestly. He'd literally rather die. Not to mention he should know that all Apostles feel the need to submit to Griffith so he'd just be doing himself a huge disservice, other than probably regaining his arm and eye and having eternal youth (which doesn't mean anything since he'd probably get killed eventually).
