The Chaozu one was. Chaozu was still in decent shape. To compare that to the Saibaman is crazy.
Chaozu is damaged badly by a half cocked Kamehameha. Are you saying a FP Kamehameha wouldn't have been enough to get the job done?

This one is true. Yamcha didn't even charge the Kamehameha against the Saibaman either.

Yamcha's Kamehameha against the Saibaman wasn't FP.

Yamcha's confidence and Vegeta saying he merely let his guard down tells me it wasn't just a skill thing. When Ten proved to be a worthy opponent (as suppressed as he was in the 22nd against him lmao), Yamcha had an internal monologue saying this guy's way stronger than I thought. He thought the Saibaman was nowhere near as tough as they made them out to be and felt he could take more of them even after expending Ki in a Kamehameha. I don't think they were evenly matched there.
I get the confidence is he's suppressed. Is he suppressed?

I think the initial exchange was more or less a warm up honestly. Yamcha doesn't even look like he broke a sweat after half killing the Saibaman
Ok, so you think his power in the fight is his suppresssed power and he has more in the tank?

I mean, that's the only way it makes sense to me.

It was just one panel of them trading blows. I don't think AT was thinking to depict them as equals. You can say Yamcha wasn't going full throttle I guess, considering the damage a barely charged Kamehameha did.

Ok. Yeah, it's just a weird segment. Everyone assumes Yamcha is so strong, but when I look at the actual evidence, it's lacking.

But yeah, a quick charge Kamehameha wrecks the Saibaman, the afterimage, the smirk, the confidence.

Having him reasonably ahead is fine, I just want to stress test it.

1,350 seems like a perfect spot for him.

You are missing a BIIIIG piece of the narrative. Lol.

Gohan is finished.

Something happens.

Gohan starts slamming Goku around.
What he did to start fighting again isn't the point. He's moving around like he's got plenty in the tank. Just because he was lying there waiting to grab Goku's tail doesn't mean he was finished.

Yamcha's looked no different dude. He didn't even name the attack. It has the exact same traits as the uncharged blasts for Piccolo that you keep arguing for.

When Goku's tail comes off he immediately quits.

You think it wasn't amped?

Because he's not there to win the fight. He was already fulfilled by that point.
He couldn't win the fight if he tried. He got hurt and Goku is still raring to go.

If it was it was barely amped. He got above the Saibaman and instantly fired it with no charging.
So a 1,200 blast hurt a Saibaman that badly?

He does, I see a clear advantage pretty well the whole way through.

Yamaha punches the Saibaman in the face. Saibaman jumps onto that rock to get away. It tries to take Yamcha by surprise but Yamcha easily evades and fires an uncharged KHH at it. Saibaman is assumed to be dead.

Yamcha: “These monsters aren’t as fearsome as they look.”

And again ask yourself how often an equal power fight is over that fast.
